Starting at top left, the first lot (21) contains a large granite outcropping approximately 3 feet high by about 50 feet long. This view is looking toward road frontage and is about 1/2 acre. The next photo shows lot 22 which is bordered on one side by a small tributary and on the back side by the main tributary of the Lake.

Again, looking at Lot 22 on the left, we begin to pan around to the back of the lot showing more of the water. The next shot to the right is mostly of lot 22 and shows the water level at the lowest point during the fall and winter months. In the spring, the water level will rise about 15 feet and a noticeable waterfall is present on the far shore and may be heard until the start of summer, depending on rainfall, etc.

On the left is the main tributary which is part of the lake and shows one of the existing docks that is located almost directly below the property of lot 21. This dock was built by the neighbors and has stairs that lead to that dock. Pending Corps of Engineers approval, an additional slip may be attached to this structure for the owner's private use (Must gain access below red line). An additional dick is available adjacent to lot 22 as well. Swimming from the dock may also be done as the water is deep and navigable. The photo to the right shows the waterway leaving the dock area and heading to the more open portion of the lake.

The left photo shows a small portion of the lake while the right photo shows the Moutardier Marina in the distance. This Marina provides fuel, bait, sundries, snacks and more for the boating enthusiast.

Heading back to our gated community we watch the setting sun after enjoying many hours out on the lake with friends and family. Here are a few maps that show where Nolin River Lake is located. Just click on each map to get a larger view of the area. The first map to the left shows the town of Litchfield which is south of Louisville by about 75 miles. And just to the south of Nolin Lake is the large Mammoth Cave National Park. The center map shows Highway 728 to the south of the lake. Follow this East until you reach Walnut Rd. Then turn north until you reach Laurel Ridge Road as seen in the map below. The two boxes shown on the west side of the Laurel Ridge loop illustrate approximate location of property with the location of the boat dock shown just to the north at waters edge.
